History:

This vessel was purchased from the original owner in 1995. It was berthed in San Diego and never sailed beyond the Channel Islands. She underwent a $35,815.00 major refit in 1995 & 1996 to prepare her for offshore cruising. She was sailed coastwise to La Paz, Mexico, arriving December 24 1996. She was sailed in the Sea of Cortez and along the Pacific coast of Mexico, as far south as Zihuatenejo. In May 2000, she was sailed to Cabo San Lucas from where she was single-handed by the owner on a 3,300 mile offshore passage to Lopez Island, WA, USA. She arrived at Lopez Island on July 4, 2000 and has been moored there since that time. Subsequent cruising has been limited to the Canadian Gulf Islands and the north shore of Vancouver Island.

Accommodations and Layout:

The factory layout was significantly modified during the 1995/96 refit. The main saloon was gutted to get rid of a pilot berth, which was replaced by a settee, which also serves as a double berth. Under-berth storage and shelf storage were added, along with a deck prism for improved lighting. The factory plywood sole was covered by mahogany planking. A Nav station with chart storage and electronics was built at the dinette. The aft cabin was totally reworked, eliminating the huge v-berth and replacing it with a double berth and greatly expanded storage. The aft vanity was deleted to improve access to the engine room. Built-in storage was added to the engine room, both above and beside the engine. This storage now is accessible from the aft passageway. A shop, with husky vise, was added to the outboard side of the engine room.
