Seller is the fourth owner. In 2005 Hannah Jane under went a major refit in the engine room, decks, mast and other parts of the boat. Everything aft of the engine room bulkhead was replaced, including the engine, fuel tanks, fuel filters, dripless stuffing box, shaft, and prop. Other modifications during this refit included removing the teak decks, holes filled with epoxy resin, and epoxy resin rolled on to form a sealed layer. A nonskid paint coating was then applied on the nonskid deck areas. The mast step on coach house was removed due to excessive cupping. Step was rebuilt with layered marine plywood and re-fiberglassed to form secure base for mast. Entire exterior of boat, including the mast, was repainted with Awlgrip LP paint.

Interior:

This is a real factory finished boat, completed in the Costa Mesa facility. Hannah Jane was one of the first four boats created by Westsail. She has a V-berth forward, enclosed head port side, hanging locker and storage drawers on the starboard side. The interior wood trim is African mahogany. Aft of that is a salon with settee berth with new cushions and pilot berth with lockers all around. Aft of salon is the galley and navigation station. The port side galley has a 3 burner Force 10 propane stove with broiler and oven (propane tank needs to be re-installed) and an icebox with hanging cabinet overhead. Navigation station is on starboard side providing drawers and lockers beneath. Galley and head supplied with pressure water system and 110 volt/engine run water heater (accumulator and water heater new in 2005).

Deck:

35# CQR anchors with 200 ft chain rode and a Simpson Lawrence manual windlass. During the 2005 refit, forward wooden hatch was replaced with a Lewmar Ocean 45 hatch. Wooden aft hatch covering was also replaced with Lewmar Ocean hatch during refit. New 9 inch Lewmar Ocean hatch was installed over galley. The forward wooden dorade boxes were replaced with fiberglass models and the aft boxes were removed and holes in house were sealed. New dodger was installed to include new self-standing frame in 2005. A watertight steel hatch was installed in the cockpit for easy engine access. A stainless steel boomkin and stern pulpit (from Bud) and new lifelines were installed. A stainless steel boom gallows with a teak crosspiece was fabricated. Stainless mast pulpits are installed. All bright work, toerail, trim and rubrail were sanded and oiled. The wood was removed from the outside coach house roof and the coach house was fiberglassed.

Electronics and Navigation:

Tillermaster auto pilot (adequate, small for offshore piloting), newer Ritchie compass, Garmin GPS, VHF, depth sounder and EPIRB. Aft backstay has insulators installed for SSB with grounding plate (SSB not included).

Electrical System:

4 commercial gel batteries (new in 2005) with battery selector switch (engine and house banks separated) and 120 shore side power with battery charger. Mast was sandblasted, awl gripped and rewired in 2005 to include new running, steaming, and anchor lights.

Sails and Rigging:

Mast was sandblasted, awl gripped and rewired in 2005 to include new running, steaming, and anchor lights. In 2004 Hannah Jane received a new suit of sails (purchased from Kern Sails): main, Profurl 42 was installed with new 120 headsail. Staysail was replaced with a dacron (white) hank on sail (not new from Kern). Spare mainsail (tanbark), storm headsail, storm trysail, and various other hank on headsails are included. Mainsail and headsail have new covers. There is also a sunshade that covers aft portion of boat. Mast has attached steps and a full complement of winches.

New engine install including: dual Racor fuel filters, new fuel tanks, 34 gallons each located on newly installed shelves, shift throttle control, instrument panel in cockpit, new exhaust, new transmission, new thru hull for raw water intake.
