We are the third owners of the Golden Fleece. We bought her on the hard from the previous owners backyard in Golden, CO. We towed her to our home on its own 3-axle trailer and started the refit.
The previous owners had ground down the gelcoat from the waterline down to bare fiberglass. We applied four coats of Interlux Barrier coat to the hull. Six layers of Interlux 2000 were applied next to the hull. The hull and deck are painted with Interlux 2 part epoxy Oyster White. Two coats were applied over one coat of Interlux primer. All fittings were removed for the refit. The fittings were rebedded with West Marine caulking and/or replaced.
